In Arcy-sur-Cure, village life is nourished by those who get involved, by ideas that take shape and by occasions to come together. With the association Les Pages du Chastenay, we want to make the manor a place of encounter and discovery, open to local residents as well as to those who come to discover the Cure valley.
Theatre, evenings under the stars, gatherings and historical research: so many occasions to bring heritage to life, share curiosities and create new connections.
For a few sessions, the travelling planetarium of Mailly-le-Château set up in the bergerie. Young and old set off to discover the starry sky, the constellations and the solar system, in a meeting of science, heritage and local life.
Thanks to a celestial event, the manor’s courtyard became a shared observation point. Neighbours and friends gathered to watch the partial solar eclipse and share a rare moment together.
A play was performed at the manor: another way of bringing its walls to life and of gathering the generations around a story. Another performance is in preparation.
The manor has a long history, and its future is also being built with those who bring it to life today. With the association Les Pages du Chastenay, we want to encourage local initiatives, create occasions to meet and open the house to new ideas.
Organising an evening, welcoming artists, exploring the archives or simply lending a hand: everyone can contribute, in their own way, to bringing this place to life and enriching its history.
